They have a 2 page training manual given to all new recruits. First page instructions on putting the high visibility vest on, second page taking it off!

Plus a three hour intensive course on how to use a ball-point pen, especially which end to write with.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

Nope, none of those are true of me and I don't think any of our regulars here on the parking board are on benefits.

You cannot excuse someone who takes a job as a protection racketeer.

I take offence at this. I'm retired. Do you have a problem with this? Do you regard my hard-earned pension a "benefit"?

As I think my earlier post shows, I understand the situation that most private parking attendants are in. Personally, I regard them as just as much victims of the PPC owners as the car park owners and drivers.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)

Nor me, 7 day week job, looking forward to retiring. Never claimed anything, would have to ask someone how. However I'm sure there are some who have to take any job offered, and that includes parking, but there are some who just love it, the power trip.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

He/She should be given credit for doing a job, but anyone who does not question what they are doing whilst doing this job maybe needs to think about it a bit more!

I am sure the many people who receive the rubbish they dish out are not so happy they are employed.

As for receiving benefits some of us have earned them! (I receive DLA after working and employing people for over 35 years)

PS: They can keep the DLA if they give me my health back! ;)

PPS: Hey its like discussion time!!!!!! :p

I could take great offence at this remark. I'm self employed, I work at least 80 hours a week and pay a vast amount in tax every year.

To also be targeted by low life scamming PPC parasites who think that just because I am the registered keeper of some vehicles they can extort some money from me really hacks me off. Anyone who defends PPCs or their employees, I regard as part of the problem.

Please be kind to the scammers's staff. How would you like to be so hopeless you thought it was a job worth doing? :-)
