Are you getting neither WTC or CTC?

If so then something is wrong (either a misunderstanding or an overpayment they are removing). Ring them up and ask why

The threshold for WTC (assuming no childcare/disabilities) is £18k if working 30+ hours, and has not changed at all since last year. It's about £16k if working under 30 hours.

Don't know where the £17k comes from as it's incorrect in all cases.

my hubby works over 30hours and we have 3 children, one of which gets DLA, at what ammount of earnings would we lose WTC?

Same, £18k. Child disabilities will get you extra CTC, your WTC won't be affected.
  • i really feel for people here, i think there should be a cut but personally i think the limit has been set far to low

may be so , but david cameroon hasnt reinstated it either !! therefor its the goverment in power at the time instead of blaming goverments before ! either way its to low

ps cameroon gave the rich a £14500 tax cut whilst he has taken tax credits off the poor , glad you support such a goverment

What do you mean "reinstated it"? WTC threshold has never been cut. Why do you think it's too low? What's the point of taking tax off people if they then need benefits on £18k - why not just raise the income tax threshold? Which this govt are doing, so you presumably support that.

raising the tax threshold by a mere £500 to £7450 really does not make any differance in the circumstances, why do you mention gordon brown is to blame !
