I have often made my own with lamb heart liver and kidney with pinhead oatmeal, beef suet, onion and seasonings. I steam it in a pudding bowl. I made up the recipe (which have since lost it appears) from an amalgam of recipes from the internet - maybe these http://www.smart.net/~tak/haggis.html#two

I boil the offal with the chopped onion until just cooked then after reserving the stock chop it up in the food mixer. Then I mix the meat with the oatmeal, suet, seasonings and stock and then steam for maybe 40 mins.

It's always yummier than the shop bought ones I have tried - never had the chance to try a real scottish butcher's one though. I think when the kids are a bit older a camping trip to Scotland is in order :-)

Another vote for MacSweens haggis here. I personally think Hall's haggis is rubbish but it'll probably slice ok.

However, the best haggis I've had was on Burns night this year, a friend of ours had made one for us. It was delicious even though he's never actually eaten haggis himself.

Another vote for Halls veggie haggis. Never did like haggis, but LOVE the veggie one!
