Is it possible to buy a whole haggis, slice it up and freeze the slices, defrost slices and fry then up?
Weird I know but I quite fancy haggis but wouldn't be able to use a whole one at once.

I don't see why not - surely its like any other meat product. I am not sure you wouldn't need to boil it first (I can't remember whether its pre-boiled actually its been ages since I cooked one!).
Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

yes it would be fine to do as you said, you could thaw it and heat it in the micro if you didnt want to fry it thats what i do0

Ditto twink, slice it into chunks to freeze, then defrost and microwave to cook. I'm a born and bred Scot and I've totally abandoned boiling haggis - microwave makes such a good job of it - so it gets the go-ahead from locals!0

I have to admit that I would be surprised if you found a haggis you could slice. In my experience, haggis is very crumbly and is only held together by the skin. Once you pierce the skin, the contents fall out ... it doesn't "slice" as suchWarning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0
