Transfer to Northern Rock ISA

Hi All,

I have been trying to transfer some money from my Barclays a/c to my Northern Rock ISA.

I have used sort code 08-60-64 and my account number but each time the money gets debited from my Barclays account and then credited straight back in again!!

Is there something that I am doing wrong because I cant see it??

My ISA limit was full from the end of last financial year but I'm sure I can top this up again for this financial year.

Thanks in advance.

There are lots of possibilities - here are a few :)
    • Your Northern Rock ISA is fixed interest/fixed term and allowed only 1 (the initial) deposit
    • Northern Rock might need you to 'reactivate' last year's ISA in order to pay into it in this financial year
    • You have the sort code or account number wrong (I no longer have any Northern Rock accounts but did anything change when they became Virgin?)

I would phone or email them - they'll have a much better idea than we do :rotfl:
