This is key, we were relying on a few sentences posted on an internet forum, not a full investigation with all the available evidence in front of us.magpiecottage wrote: »I stand by my position that the complaint, as the OP presented it to us, should have failed.0 -
The complaint should have been rejected based on the information given to us. Either it got auto paid out or there was something not mentioned by the OP.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

Last year I posted on this site for advice regarding a PPI complaint. I was met with ridicule and accusations of being a 'compensation chaser' from so called experts.
Just to let the experts know that I have received a payment from LTSB regarding my mis-sold policy.
It seems the advice given on this site was incorrect and in light of recent reports in the media of the practises that LTSB claim handlers undertook, I feel totally vindicated.
Just goes to show that the experts(namely dunstonh, Moneyineptitude and magpiecottage) were wrong.
Don't believe everything you are told by employees of banks or the 'experts' on this forum.
Next you will be made redundant, then you'll be back squirming and moaning that you cant pay your mortgage as you have no insurance, and of course it will be the banks fault.
Mortgage PPI has a very low uphold rate as its often NOT mis-sold. Nothing you said indicated a mis-sale which is why you were told the things you were.

Has anyone else noticed how posters who kick off when they don't hear what they want to hear, call everyone bullies, along with accusations of "you all work for banks" etc come back to post how successful they've been but post no actual details.
Maybe I'm just an old skeptic . . .;)0
