Is there any way for me to change the way I see search results?

I'd like to see just each thread, rather than the mass of individual posts from each thread.

  • Hi Bedsit Bob,

Click on the "Forum Search" drop down at the top of the page. In the box that appears ensure you have the radio button labelled "Show Threads" selected and not the one labelled "Show Posts". Type your search terms and click the "Go" button.

  • It is set on "Show Threads".

Apologies. I should have been more specific.

I was referring to doing searches using the Search MSE box in the extreme top right of the page.

I guess I'll have to start using the "Forum Search" drop down box instead.

Yes that would be the solution in this case. This is where you can find the more advanced, forum-specific search features. Thank you.

  • BTW. This is the only forum I've used, where the username Search Box is case sensitive

That's because usernames are case sensitive :)

(This is just a proof of concept and this account won't be used again).
