Ikea catalogues are needing delivery people.

Ikea catalogues are bulk delivered. They are not subscription only. They may not, however, bother to deliver them universally. (I live in a rubbishy area which does not always receive them - but where they are delivered they are delivered to every address.)0

To anyone who has done this work before - would it be possible to do without the use of a car? I know they're recruiting in my area and was thinking about applying.0

would you have one to collect the catalogues?
If you were doing it without a car,how would you get them to the delivery area?0 -
The leaflet I received says that the catalogues will be delivered to your home. It doesn't say what sort of distanc we would have to deliver them to... that's why I asked.
Better idea - I drop the area manager an email and see if he can help

I've delivered Ikea catalogues before...even the smallest routes given out will be many hundreds, if not a couple of thousand catalogues. that's an awful lot of carrying...how were you planning to move them? Even if you're given a route that includes your house, it could be a couple of miles to the far end of the route.
I can't carry very heavy weights, so at each street I put the pile in my son's old pushchair and pushed that round, got some funny looks taking it back empty!
For the rubbish money they pay, I wouldn't even consider trying to do it without a car...I doubt they'd take you on anyway. And if you stick to the legalities, you'd have to tell the tax, NI, car insurance...
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0
