Hi just saw this on gumtree and they are recruiting now for delivery agents for the new ikea catalogues. May help someone.
TNT Post have the contract to deliver the Ikea book.
We are looking for fit and active people who have a car and telephone, who have 3 or 4 hours a day to work. We prefer people with experience in Phone book/catalogue distribution who can read a map and follow street lists.
We pay 7p per book or more if the property is difficult. The books are packed in 20's, there are 1500 on a pallet. You will be classed as Self employed and we pay straight into your current account via BACS.
The contract starts on the 20th August for 3 weeks. Applications online only via https://www.tntpost.co.uk/Jobs an area controller will call you back if rounds are available in your area or email if you prefer.

I've found the job advert on the directgov job website if anyone is interested. It's under reference MUS/36910July Grocery Challenge : £40.41/£200.000

I've just applied! I did the Census deliveries last year which was great exercise so would be good to do this!0

Okay just a bit of pre warning. I did Yellow Pages a few years back. Had to collect them in one day. Filled my Living Room upto the ceiling, and the weight burst the tyre on my car.
Positive thing being that they paid fast, but you are self employed and will need to pay tax.Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0 -
Hi just to let you all know my son did this a couple of years ago and the time it took was 3 times that he was paid for and it was very hard work the catalogues are very heavy. I helped him in the end and the pay he got for the hours spent were well below minimum wage so give yourself plenty of time and be realistic. Good luck0

I notice they are advertising again for this year. 7p per book x 1500 on a pallet = £105. Sounds like a lot of work and stopping and starting of the car for that!0

for what it is,7p per item sounds low
I would be looking at moving the car as little as possible using a trolley/bag etc and replenishing0
