Pads or rollers for the walls.

Paint rollers or pads for interior walls, I've never used pads so wondered what they were like.
It's someone else's fault.

Rollers unless you really hate the dapple finish you get with rollers, pads give a brush finish.

    Less splashing with rollers.

Short handled roller with microfibre roller sleeve. And a decent quality brush for cutting in.

I've never had splashing problems with pads, byt do with rollers. Its personal preference I think, and I love paint pads, mine were not cheap but have had them for years, and can give a room a coat in jig time!

Definately good quality roller and brush for me.
Always found pads to lose the fibres really easily. A good quality roller and brush will not.

Personal choice have used both with good results.

IME pads create less mess. Have only used the larger sizes though.

With either you will need to use a brush to cut in, the small pads are not great.

One benefit for me, as I wear glasses, is that pads don't leave me with over spray on them.

May also depend on area to be covered, speed required, and quality of finish you aspire too.

Not fast enough for a skilled user.

I prefer using pads. Had our hallway painted by decorator and he used roller. Looked good until I touched up marks we'd made when hanging pictures with a brush!!! bad move. Waiting for him to come back & put good my handywork. That's taught me a lesson the hard way. Don't have those problems when using pads.
  • Large pads....and a brush to cut in.

Less mess than a roller, better finish than a roller....but not as quick as a roller.
