Talk Talk offering refund

Hi guys,
I'm new here, but thought I should join in with the Talk Talk stuff that's going on.
In a nutshell, my story is this:
1. Signed up for home phone with Onetel, who I have used for years and I quite liked.
2. The landline arm was taken over by Talk Talk
3. When we moved house, I asked Talk Talk to reconnect the line to my new address. They cancelled the account while I was on my holiday. Great! Very useful.
4. They continued to bill me for a house I don't live in anymore (despite three phonecalls to confirm the account was closed), but recently offered one month's refund of £16. I was pleased with this, so phoned this morning to claim it. However, they're telling me that they can only refund to a 'Visa debit card'. I don't understand this - surely it's easier if they just send the money to my account in a transfer. Has anyone else had this problem? As I don't fancy giving my credit card details to this company after all the problems I've had.
Thanks

This is like a debit card refund which has the same effect as transferring it back to your bank account. All you need is to give them the 16 digit on your Visa Delta or Maestro card - which probably is also your cashpoint card and they will make a reverse debit card transaction by crediting (insteading of debiting) the amount to your bank account.0

Thanks - cheers for clearing that up0

Hi there
If you look at my earlier threads you will find a telephone number (given to me by a very kind member of the chat forum), speaking to them might help you.
Good luck
