Seashell we all work differently. Like you said for some people a bigger target= bigger motivation. For others a big target is just setting themselves up for failure. The trick is to know what kind of person you are nd what motivates you and working to your strengths

Completely agree with you. I've spent way too long trying to follow what others were doing and assuming I was useless because I couldn't hit the targets I was setting for myself. It's only recently I've eased up on myself and started doing what works for me based on my situation and circumstances. And it seems to be working :o

  • I also have a small target, however its my first month on this challenge, and seeing as this £250 is owed to DWP, its definitely a priority and has got to be paid! So transferred my £2.50 over today to my online savings, when challenge complete, will pay debt off *phew*

    Hi Amara

Please please can I join! My target to clear is €1561.32 - credit union loan.

It's not high interest but it takes a chunk off my wages every week that I could really do with.

A big hello to the new ones. Welcome. Amara will be along in a while. In the meantime make yourselves comfy and InsertWittyName will get the kettle on (I'm sure it's your turn ;) )

Frooglefraggle it doesn't matter how big or small your target is as long as it helps you on your journey. We celebrate every penny paid/saved here

I am sticking with my £500 target. I have worked it out and I have a plan!

The downside to putting the OD ahead of the CC is that I have to physically go into my branch and ask them to reduce my overdraft. They won't do it over the phone and I can't do it online. That makes doing a payment a day a bit difficult, so instead I will put those amounts into a savings account and then move them over once a month when I go into the branch to drop the limit.

I cannot wait to see my account going into credit every month! :)
