Natwest Proactive Refund - why?

I received a letter on 20th September, sent the letter back that same day with my bank details on for them to put the refund in but 3 weeks later I haven't had a peep from them. Did anyone else get a letter about the same time, what sort of time frame did people get their money in?
I'm expected to get £135 and I'm currently in my 1st year at university so the money is going to come in handy!0 -

Would agree, this sounds like a scam, and sultryabyss should very urgently get in touch with the bank, to prevent any further damage.0 -

I no longer have that account in question which is why they asked for my current bank details. I also checked the address that the letter needed to be sent to and it is fully legitimate.
So, I am not a derp, nor a derpina and slightly offended!0 -

Its not a scam.. at some point Nat West have applied as they call it " incorrect charges " to some accounts and are now trying to dig themselves out of a very deep hole .
