Hi
can someone please help as i'm at my wits end with my Tesco mobile Galaxy Ace.
What is the correct way to save contacts? is it phone memory, sim or sd card and what is the pros & cons with each?
I've tried exporting to sim then importing then ended up with two of every contact on my contacts list. I tried deleting the phone memory contacts and importing from sim, alas nothing to import, now I have none of my contacts on the list. How can that be?
I'd appreciate if someone could explain the sim/sd/phone memory thing to me along with the correct procedure to save contacts and back them up.
Cheers.

AFAIK, there are three types of records:
google
phone
sim card
The first get synchronised with your google account if you allow this.
The second are stored only in the phone memory.
The last are stored in the sim card.
AFAIK, only the most basic information and a very limited number of contacts can be stored on the sim, so it is not really an option.
Re SD card, AFAIK you can only export/import contacts to/from it, not to store.
IMO, 'google' contacts is the best option as they are always backed up automatically if you allow synching.0 -
Check http://www.google.com/contacts
You might find they're already saved in the Cloud, so you can sync them with another phone.0
