Dispute over postage

I am in a dispute over a company I thought were based in London. Turns out the home company is in China - the EBay listing I bought the products from stated clearly "1 X "XXXX" product." So I bought 2 quantities. The seller sent out 1 pack with 2 of the products inside. Now, for ease of postage and delivery I can see that no one should have a dispute - but when buying ONE product as shown in a listing, of which I had read very clearly and bought in good faith, shouldn't the seller stick to what they show, or does this appear to be misleading and false on the basis that they sent out 2 products in one pack?
I don't understand this at all?! You ordered 2 and you received 2 so what is the problem exactly? Am I missing something?

i would say it very much depends on the product/purpose, as to whether this was detrimental
  • Sorry for hijacking the thread - but I did forget to mention that the postage cost was for single items and... the original ad on EBAY showed postage charges for one pack or two packs combined with the "outside the EU charge," that Shaun picked up on. Thus, I threatened bad feedback on this company as well as a product review stating the company as the main seller. There was no mention of charges for "outside the EU" since the company claimed to be operating from London but which in actual fact turned out to be from China. So the only way of being sent the product was ONE pack containing the two articles and then they sent me an empty envelope for the other item that was sent as the 2 pack. As gifts for people, its very frustrating waiting for the package of the first and paying fees for something that hasn't been properly listed or falsely stated.

Hijacking is one thing, but coming back 9 months later to clarify something you put is a little confusing.
