She's late 60s, history of strokes so not the best to get concussion. Happened on day 5 of 14 days, so kept all 5 of us inside for 3 or 4 days.
Anyway, she's back to normal now, so no lasting damage.
Can easily list costs, and 3 days as a percentage of the holiday. Maybe that's the best place to start.
If popular concensus is to leave it, then happy to do so, and we'll just ignore Thomas Cook and their dodgy holidays in future.
Why did all five of you stay in for "3 or 4 days"?
I think you are pushing your luck - accept what they have offered and put it behind you.0 -

Maybe it was a very heavy wardrobe and took some time to shift!0 -
In an effort to come up with some more information for you
I googled 'wardrobe malfunction'
when I've finished looking at all the pictures I'll get back to you.0 -

Now I would ask for compo for that. Not only was the wardrobe iffy but the wall behind it was moving as well.YorkshireBoy wrote: »
BTW OP, this is what you get when you ask a civil question on here. Just wade through it all and pick out what you think is right yourself.;)The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

I too fail to see how Thomas Cook can be responsible for this.
But there is always someone to blame for everything, isn't there? It says so on the telly.0 -
Your travel insurance should cover the medical costs. You can claim for your excess from Thomas Cook.
There was no need for your to all miss 4 days of your holiday so I don't think Thomas Cook will offer compo for that unless they are after good PR.
If you keep pushing, I would make sure you have proof that Thomas Cook was negligent. Compo does not have to be paid if their is no negligence. Now most big companies will offer a gesture to keep you sweet but if you start claiming for ££££s I can see them turning around and saying prove we were negligent.Save £200 a month : [STRIKE]Oct[/STRIKE] Nov Dec Jan Feb Mar Apr0 -
Unless Thomas Cook bought the wardrobe I don't even see how it's their fault?
Surely you should be contacting the owner of the villa you stayed in?0
