Just had the automated phone call from the detached voice that is Tescos regarding order cancellation. I placed more than one order, but I really am past caring. Anything that is sent to store won't be collected and they can refund. I won't be collecting as it has long been my personal policy not to set foot in Tosscos as the resulting irritation just isn't worth it (husband goes occasionally or to collect, but he won't be required on this occasion or indeed, in the foreseeable future!).
I do hope that everyone who is annoyed doesn't continue to make the weekly pilgrimage to buy groceries - contacting customer services about the mis-prices etc. is fruitless, they don't give a flying .... (better not finish that phrase off), the only way Tosscos will improve their appalling service standards is if they get hit hard enough in the finances. After all, they're not in business to provide a good service, just to make money. (Nothing wrong with that, but boy, they do like to grasp at every last penny!).

I have 27 cancelled...oops just had another email...make that 28, John Adams Gross Science fails
I am convinced they do this purposely to generate traffic and new customers who are encouraged by the £10 off £40 code..which never gets seen again as the order is cancelled.
They're baiting customers and should be taken to task.

I bow down to your superior glitching :T

But seriously, this is beyond a joke. Is it worth collating the items ordered and noting if they were dispatched or cancelled? I could have read wrong but have some people not had their orders cancelled citing mis-prices yet others have received the same item? It might be more ammo to contact Direct and complain if we can show where there are discrepancies.

well my account shows that the item out for delivery is the giggling hammer, however it shows as 5 x giggling hammer but the total charge is £5 (£2 for hammer, £3 for post)

I hope I don't end up with 5 of them!!!

    Edit to add, I didn't order 5
  • I've had all mine cancelled as well. Both collect in store and home delivery.

The only thing I have bought from Tesco recently that hasn't been cancelled was an iPad 2 which I collected in store then a couple of weeks later I got an email saying they were unable to deliver it so they had sent me a refund.

Clueless is an understatement where Tesco are concerned.
  • i placed and order about 10 mins before it was on hukd, my wife just happend to spot it as ds is toy story mad right now. only ordered 10 as it was an obvious mis-price and as per with tesco didnt expect anything - in for a penny as they say. :)

but they have just been delivered, so dont give up hope yet guys, some do get honoured. :j:j

I got my text AFTER my email, my text was at 10.02am but when I checked my emails, my cancellation email was sent at 9.27am.

If anyone receives the fisher price hammer or the v-tech trumpet today, could they post please as these are the two things I really wanted and both have apparently been cancelled

Like winjackie, I would also like to know if anybody gets the fisher price hammer as I ordered that and it's been cancelled.

Interestingly, my cancellation email doesn't say anything about mispricing - it says:
'Were sorry, but were unable to complete your Tesco Direct order
. We work hard to make sure we have no problems with our deliveries, but in this case,
    we got it wrong.'
And they can't even punctuate properly!

I had 4 cancellation emails this morning, all relating to the first order I placed - which was only for 4 items so essentially the entire order was cancelled, they just sent a separate email for each item.

Then about an hour ago I had the cancellation text, which I assumed related to my remaining order? But I've come home and checked and that one still says 'created' whilst the first one has indeed been cancelled.

So now I don't know if they belatedly sent me a text saying the same thing that the emails already said, or if they mean the second order is about to get cancelled too?

I have two items ordered, one text, no email cancellations. My status says - FP Hammer - created - Buckaroo - confirmed. Totally confused so I've just sent them a pm on their Facebook page.
