Still trying to secure a good deal (with Orange) and happened upon a Quidco cashback offer:

Up to £60 cashback when a 12 month Orange SIMO plan of £7/month is purchased via the site. However it says that upgrades will not get the cashback which confuses me slightly: As i'm looking to 'switch' at the end of my current 18 month Orange contract for a 12 month SIMO, is this considered an upgrade too?

Wouldn't want to lose out on the cashback which will effectively make the SIMO contract roughly £2.83 per month.

Has anyone in (my) a similar situation gone via quidco and gotten their cashback?

Thanks

The only way to get cashback is to buy a new contract with a new number.
The only way to keep the old number is to port your old number to the new contract in two steps via another network (free) PAYG sim card.

Not sure I understand what you mean by port my number via another network. I would like to stick with Orange for the SIMO deal and keep my existing mob. number...

Only O2 and Voda transfer numbers within the same network (from PAYG to a new contract).
Porting the number out to a different network and then back to the original network is the only way to keep your number at other networks, including Orange.

    Option 1:
Call Orange and ask them to switch you to SIMO you want. You keep your number, but don't get cashback.

    Option 2:
Buy a new SIMO via Quidco. You'll get a new number. Call Orang from the old number and ask for PAC. Port the old number to some other network's free PAYG sim. Call the other network and ask for PAC. Port the old number from other network to the new Orange SIMO.

Moving my number from T-Mobile to T-Mobile!

    1. Get a PAC code from Orange for your current contract
    2. Port that number onto a PAYG sim on another network that isn't your network (T-Mobile for example)
    3. Get the contract you want via Quidco
    4. Get your PAC from the PAYG account
    5. Use the PAC you got from the PAYG account on your new contract.

    Job done.
