o2 credit given then taken back with no word
Options
Hi All,
I need a little advice due to getting a mobile contract from o2 and before my contract started , I went into my local o2 shop and saw one of the people working there as they had a better deal and he said he was able to give me my contract at a better deal for 18 months , so I walked away after he typed a few things on his pc.I then checked my account online about 6 months (august) later and saw that he didn't change the contract length but added a £5 bolt on so the cost of contract was the same. After A few emails to o2 they then sent me an email telling me that I will be getting 6 months free line rental starting from 20th April, and if I could send them an email after that date so they could apply the credit needed.then I got a bill through with no deductions so I phoned up o2 and they are now saying that they are refusing to give credit (even though I have the email as proof) so after another 2 weeks of customer services they have now made my contract 18 months and then it was terminated , so they are now demanding I pay the latest bill of £39.20 even thou I am arguing that they promised me credit , of which they are now saying it is declined and they might have to take it further, so I am saying I'm not willing to pay line rental , but will pay the excess...Am I in my rights to do so?
