Kitkate, im glad someone pointed this out, cause i was laughing everytime i read a complaint!

Laugh all you like, I have never left my kids with holiday reps. I go on holiday to enjoy my family time with them for one thing. I am also a bit choosy about who I leave my kids with believe it or not. I have never understood people who go on holiday with their kids and immediately dump them with strangers!

Why would you tell local people trying to scratch a living to f*ck off?

Charging 9 Euro for a piece of melon is not scratching a living at all. It is ripping people off.

I always buy poundland lilos, bat and ball and beach balls and take them with us, as I know from bitter experience the kids wont stop whinging and moaning that Every Single Other Child Has One, if we don't and they are mega bucks overseas.

On booking my holiday this year i priced up for 2 adults and 1 child going to tenerife for 2 weeks came in at 1559 pounds with thomsons .
I changed the search to 3 adults and was shocked to see that then price was 1100 so my money saving tip is to check if its cheaper to change your children in to adults on the booking.
I asked thomsons why it made a difference as its still a person and they said becasuse children have to pay under occupancy.
Thomsons let me book my 5 year old as an adult they said it some times does help tp make your holiday cheaper.

So still leaving your kids with people you do not know? That's better how?
Childminders, teachers, nannies, doctors, nurses, they're all people you don't know - ever left your children with any of these?
  • I tend to flit around several hotel sites, usually...laterooms, hostelbookers, hostelworld, agoda, booking.com and hotelscombined. Am off to Philippines, HK and Macau for two months in Feb, and I just pop on randomly. So far I have managed to book a room for three nights that should have cost £40 a night...at £0.15 pn, a room originally at £25 for £5, several Tune hotels at £2 per night and stinking cheap air flights. ALso booked my flight from Madrid to Hong Kong and Manila to London for £370...From Manchester it was £850...but even at a push was £670. Also I tend to use Agoda and Booking as they have free cancellations which I have done and received refund almost immediately.x
    PS but I am single.
PPS total hol cost for 2 months wi flts and hotels....£780
