Idealworld tv returns help

We bought an item from Idealworld tv shopping channel last week. When it was delivered on the 14th (last week) after opening the parcel the item was found to be damaged. Right away I sent Idealworld customer services an email asking how to return the item and get a replacement or refund. No reply was sent back to me, so I sent another email on the 16th again asking for help with a return. Up until now, the 19th I still have not heard back from them. I have sent Idealworld customer services a letter today again asking for help with refund/replacement. I refuse to telephone them at a cost of 10p a minute to discuss this.
Has anyone else had any problems with Idealworld tv and returning faulty/damaged items? and if so how did you resolve the problem.
Thanks for any help here.

You would rather pay 50/60p for a stamp and then the cost of paper, envelope etc rather than spend 10p a minute arranging a return by phone which will be a lot quicker? I can't imagine it taking much longer on the phone than the price you've already paid for sending the letter.0

As, up until now I have not received any reply from Idealworld so yes I may have to spend money on a phone call, this point was more specifically aimed at anyone who could help get a refund/replacement from Idealworld and procedure involved.Forwandert wrote: »You would rather pay 50/60p for a stamp and then the cost of paper, envelope etc rather than spend 10p a minute arranging a return by phone which will be a lot quicker? Yes thanks, I had seen the instructions on the website regards returns. As pointed out previously the post was aimed at anyone who had been through this before and could help with procedure etc.Almost everyone who has dealt with ideal world's "customer service" has reported problems. There are instructions on their website here.0 -
Although I did say I refused to pay the phone costs if that's what it takes then I suppose I would have to bite the bullet and phone them.0

Ok, done as you suggested and phoned them. Was on hold for 2 minutes (at my expense) until 'customer service' answered so i'm paying to send back faulty goods. Think that's fair?:mad:Forwandert wrote: »You would rather pay 50/60p for a stamp and then the cost of paper, envelope etc rather than spend 10p a minute arranging a return by phone which will be a lot quicker? I never said it was fair. If that is their returns process though it will be quicker than your original plan and if you hadn't already gone to the expense of sending a letter etc will probably be costing you exactly the same. It's also the chance you take when purchasing from anywhere sometimes things are damaged/don't work. Not worth getting upset about really.0 -
Think we will have to agree to disagree hereForwandert wrote: »I never said it was fair. Probably because phoning some of these large companies will take much more than 6 minutes!0
