I wanted to work part time but needed a genuine reason to do so - strict T&Cs at my place of work.
Great, I had a massive rheumatoid arthritis flare and was unable to work full time for two years - and didn't enjoy the free time as I'd wanted to!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
One year I had no spare cash for food goodies at xmas and wished for some money to materialise, and then found 40 quid on a country path.
I wished for money another time I was hard up, and a guy from an estate agents came along to my house saying that the next year they would be moving telegraph poles in the garden and messing it up, and the compensation was 25 quid, but he randomly wrote me a cheq for 50! [I must have looked needy]
I wished for girls when pregnant and got my wish all 3 times.
Once got a job in a fast food place that I really did not want at all. Was watching the local news the sunday before I was due to start, and some helpful person had burned the place down!! lol

For a time I was a board member of a large employer. My colleagues blamed a number of short comings on a pleasant but weak regional Chief Exec and wished he would move on. He did.
We got a dynamic, slash and burn bully as his replacement:eek:
I was heard to say then "careful what you wish for".0
