Can anyone advise me on the cheapest way to cash a US Dollar cheque. I know that bank charges vary considerably and it may be worth opening an account with a bank where the charges for cashing a US Dollar cheque are cheaper! It's in the region of $3000.00

What bank are you currently with? Some are free to deposit USD cheques.
