It will give you the option to revise the item, yes. It basically shows you the second screen of the Sell Your Item form, details the fees involves, then asks you to submit. At the top of the page it gives you a clear link:

'You may receive an insertion fee credit if this relisted item sells.
'Click Edit listing to make changes to your item.'

    Best of luck :).

I have ended the item and it now gives me an option to relist but will clicking that mean I can get my facts right this time or should I start off the process again from scratch?
Hi, no don't worry, you can retain the photos and description and just amend the bits you need to.

If you look at the closed listing, you gave a grey bar at the top and directly below, on the left-hand side, is written "sell similar item". Click on this and review/amend the listing as necessary and relist your item.

As today is Tuesday, you could relist it this evening for 5-days, so that it finishes on Sunday evening, which is a busy time for eBay and should help you obtain a decent price.

I think I may have put the wrong message on there though - I'm not sure OP will get the listing fee credit if they simply cancelled the item.

A big thanks to you all

But I wonder if I click the relist will it let me remove the manufacturers guarantee bit I erroneously put in my first listing? It was included in the item description automatically when I clicked a period in a drop down list.

Sorry as I grovel on the floor for being such a pest :o

Not a pest at all - you should be able to amend the bit with the manufacturers guarantee if it won't let you then back out of that and try it as a 'sell similar' rather than a relist.

Don't know if you've done it now but someone was saying about selling today so that it finishes Sunday, that is a good idea but you might want to consider delaying the start to this evening for 6p more as that way you can do the work now but it won't finish when everyone is out doing their Sunday shopping.

If it was included in the catalogue description, you may not be able to alter it.

In which case it might be better not to use the catalogue at all, if possible. Copy the specification from the existing listing to Word or Notepad, then paste it back into the listing when you remove the catalogue details.

It is a shame it is part of the catalogue entry. Surely eBay must know that many people will be selling secondhand items like this?

Further to Grasp the Nettle's point about scheduling - it needn't cost you anything. Schedule it now - the 6p won't be charged to your bill until the listing actually goes live. You can always revise it later on to list it directly once you reach the time it's most appropriate to have it end at.

Make sure you give yourself room to manoeuvre - e.g. set the schedule for a couple of weeks hence, then you can revise it at any point over the next two weeks depending on when you want it to finish.

I haven't looked again so have it to do in a bit, if I feel up to it as I am recovering from a major operation so not too good now.

Well I clicked the relist button and the options showing enabled me to correct the error without further ado.

    Thanks again.
