HTC One X O2/Tesco deal

Hey everyone I have a couple of questions about cancelling contracts and new phones.

How much does it cost to cancel a 24 motnh phone contract 3 months early and if I do this can I switch my number from Virgin to O2 straight away after cancelling (I know I need a PAC code from virgin to do this). It's so much hassle getting a new number and I don't want to wait out my Virgin contract for 3 more months to change over the numbers onto the O2 deal.

Also do you think this is a good deal:
100 minutes, Unlimited texts, 500mb of internet and a free HTC one x + free insurance for the 24 month contract worth £8 a month for £21.50 a month

You see this adds up to £516 a month over 2 years but I can stay on my current contract for £13 a month on virgin and buy the phone for £320 unlocked. Just wondering what is better :)

Thanks for reading and any help given :)

It will cost you 13x3 plus any unbilled usage. You will be able to switch your number once you have your PAC.

If your Virgin contract covers your usage, it's better to stay on that contract and buy the phone outright.

    But will that not be 13 x 24 + 320 = 632

    Whereas the new deal will be with 02 21.50 x 24 = 516

I miss the days on Pay as you go, so much simpler :p

I meant better in terms of not being locked into a contract for 24 months, should have made that clearer. I always think having the freedom to change networks to take advantage of better deals is the best way.

    Have a look at this - http://www.moneysupermarket.com/mobile-phones/brands/htc/one-x/
