Doctor Who Themed Party

Some really great ideas-thanks everyone! My daughter has just thought of another party game, in light of yesterday's Dr Who episode: Weeping Angels Statues! i.e. one child stands at the front, the others creep up (pretending to be weeping angels), the child at the front keeps turning round and they freeze. If they move they are out, the winner is the one to get to the front first.:j0

Many thanks Jill- the site has got some great ideas for what to put in the party bags. I've found this seller on ebay to have the cheapest Dr Who Party merchandise, e.g. 10 x party bags for 99p:

OK folks, finally party time next week! Can't believe I've been planning this since March (I need to get out more!). Pretty much ready:
- friend made standing-up chocolate Dalek cake as a pressie: using maltesers and matchmakers to decorate-looks fab!
- in true, moneysaving style, got bargain tardis money boxes with 5 packs of sweets inside at Superdrug sale today to give out with cake instead of party bags. Only 69p each with 10% off for completing online survey.
- lots of dalek cookies baked ready using cookie kit from Waitrose
- Dr Who CD bought ready (bargain at just £6.99 from Play + Quidco!) to accompany the great games suggested on this thread!
... just gotta persuade hubby to be spray-painted green and we are sorted!
Thanks everyone for fab suggestions - not too late if anyone has any last minute inspiration!! Hope this thread has been useful to any other Dr Who nutters!

Corners is a good game. Use action figures from series in a bag. Children dance to music. when the music stops children run to a corner. In the corner have pictures of aliens/characters the same as figures in bag, lift out character whoever is in that corner is out! or home made badges with characters on and children dance, which ever charater is pulled out and which ever child is wearing that badge is out!poshandspecs wrote: »Hi,

Many thanks in advance.0 -
Sorry, it might be a bit late - looking at the date of your posting, however we recently did a Doctor Who Party for my nephew's birthday party and we bought all the tableware (cups, plates, napkins etc) from http://www.childrenspartyshop.co.uk I found there prices very competative and they offered great customer service. You can get to their doctor who range of party products by clicking this link: Doctor Who Party. Lee.0

Hi,
Sorry to hijack the thread but my son loves doctor who (cybermen and daleks in particular) and we are going to do him a little doctor who themed party for his 4th birthday in a few weeks...anyone know anywhere that sells dr who party things like table covers plates cups ect...
Helen, for my son's birthday he wanted a Mario Bros theme and I couldn't find any plates, cups etc.I bought packs of clear plaster cups and plates and some of that clear sticky back plastic. Then I printed out Mario pics, stuck them face up on the plates and cups and covered them with the sticky back plastic. They looked pretty good and it saved me a fortune.0 -

for your daughters doctor who/ alien birthday you could do a quiz or a fancy dress comp you could get some prizes (to do with dr who) they do have some dr who board games ,card games you could do a dr who and the dalek game and there could be 3 winners but the person who loses also gets a prize , for trying. give her birthday wishes from me or maybe a story comp and a drawing comp. hope she has a happy birthday.
