Doctor Who Themed Party

Hi,
My daughter is Dr Who mad and we are planning a Dr Who/Alien themed party for her 8th Birthday. Does anyone have any bright ideas/suggestions for themed food and games?
Many thanks in advance.

Tardis birthday cake? I saw one recently and it looked really good. It was made from a pile of square cakes stacked up and covered with blue coloured ready-to-roll icing. The details were cut out of icing or iced on wth black royal icing, and the 'light' on top was a blue gobstopper. It looked great!

Looks great but may be too complicated for younger kids - you could adapt it?

I made a Tardis cake for my DS11 by baking the cake in a bread loaf tin and decorating as above:)

For the less adventurous, ASDA sell a ready made Tardis cake, should think it costs a small fortune, though!!

Too far for a day out in Cardiff to techniquest and the Dr Who Exhibition? Cardiff is where the new Dr Who is filmed.

Hmm, on second thoughts this isn't a money saving suggesting, quite the opposite.

Musical statues to the Dr Who theme

    Paint/colour an ailen mask

    A Dr Who quiz

Name that Ailen : slowy describe various Dr Who "baddies", first ot jump in & identify each gets it right, divide into teams first & have a team prize?

The only food I can think of which regularly occurs in the programme is chips (lol) so this isn't much help, think I'd just put out some paltes of cut up pizza followed by a tardis cake.

    HTH;)
