    I have been giving them away by the bucket load.

    No allotments near you? Pop along and ask. When they put out 100 runners you can only let so many take.

    My gardens overrun with them, I took about 40 plants down to the allotment this year, And given as many away.

    Why would you buy them?

    I've also read similar about Elsanta, but the ones I've picked this month have been lovely....sweet, juicy & like 'proper' strawberries.
