After following excellent advice in sticky and adding 2kg of ram my computor is super fast at everything apart from playing games, specifically games on facebook. When playing scrabble type game you click to move the tiles and wait 3 second for the tile to move. When I type on facebook no words appear and then when I look at the screen they appear a letter at a time including backspace delete corrections. When I try and play castle age on facebook guild battles i click to join battle wait 15/20 seconds nothing has happened, click again, pointer icon turns into an hourglass and computer freezes, toolbar says something is not responding, I press f5 it comes back to life after about 20 seconds then when I try again the same thing happens. Obviously something is not right, I think it is something to do with the computer as when I use my husbands laptop I have no trouble, any thoughts. ideas or suggestions how I can sort/fix this problem please.

How old is the PC / What model is it?- David0

pc is about 5 years old and a Packard Bell 64 bit but the windows o/s is only a 32 bit (all we could afford at the time). I use internet explorer but am open to suggestion of better/more efficient options.0

Chrome, all the way. It's the fastest browser in my experience. The slowness might also be because of your computer's age. Quite a few of them facebook games run on flash, which is known to be a bit clunky at times.- David0

2 kg of RAM
That may be a bit heavy for your pc0 -
At least it's metric - I had an old PC once where the clock speed was measured in dog-years & the memory in threepenny bits. Nightmare.0

Ooops, meant gigs not kg's.0

Could it be a problem with your broadband speed? This is independent of your PC.
Try http://speedtest.net/

Have down loaded chrome and this has speeded things up considerably. Many thanks to all who helped and the computer is much lighter now
