Anyone know where i can get a simple timer?
I want one to bleep once or twice 10 mins after I press the button.
Have looked around but can't find a simple one.

Sorry but NONE of these do what I asked for! A timer that bleeps once or twice 10 mins after I press the button!
All the timers need the time resetting each time and continue to bleep till I press another button.0 -
It's a nice microcontroller project, sounds a little bit particular for off the shelf.
However, if you have a smartphone there may be an advanced timer function you could use or pretty easy to knock one together in appinventor if you need it.0 -
You might find an even cheaper on on your oven or your microwave on the defrost setting on the mcrowave. Mine does.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

You mean you want one that has a preset interval of 10 mins, and 10 mins only, one which won't allow you to change the interval?
No manufacturer would make one of those, when different people want different intervals, and the manufacturer can make one where people choose what interval they want......0 -

You could write a script to do this on your PCOne by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0

Thanks for all the replies. It is for use away from home so needs to be battery powered and does not have to be for only 10 mins.
I think there used to be a darkroom timer for developing films that was something like what I want.
Wonder if anyone can find a DIY project, I think I have some 555 timers and other electronic bits somewhere if you can come up with a circuit.
For those who are wondering it will be used during a session for people trying silent contemplative prayer. Not me, I have just been asked to help.0 -
Easy to buy ready as a kit, this will do it, set ON time to minimum (1 second), OFF time to 10 mins and connect some sort of sounder
Like here on same site connected to the relay. This will keep doing a second sounds every ten minutes until switched off.0 -
Have you considered your mobile phone for this?
The alarm on my blackberry does something like this.
TBH you needed to specify what your want better - your response in post 3 ? tch, tch.0
