    That's 'investigations' not disputes.

An investigation would probably be into fraud or that the member is being investigated for claim abuse. It's to prevent e.g. the buyer saying 'this member is being investigated by eBay for fraud - beware!'

I would imagine an ordinary dispute would not be an 'investigation'.

I was about to post that link in support of my claim, so it is too ambiguous to say it is definitely against policy to mention a simple dispute.

they do hav a tendancy to revome ng feedback that says dispute

OK - good to know :(. That's a shame, IMO. I've never had cause to test it out, but I thought it was a reference to something stronger.

Good luck finding the appropriate wording, OP.

Thanks again everyone, think I'll go with starybee's suggestion which pretty much sums it up.

Don't think this seller will be round for long, only 100 possitive, mostly as a buyer and down to 4.0 on communication, dispatch and postage, and 4.2 discription.

Ive applied to have a negative feedback removed that referred to an 'on-going' dispute (the neg feedback was left within 2 days of a dispute being opened and before it was even escalated for ebay to look at/make a decision on) and was told point blank by ebay that it didn't fall in to their category for removal.

Mentioning a dispute in feedback does not mean ebay will remove the feedback (quite the opposite) - i was basically told, tuff luck, you got a bad buyer!!!!

Despite what's written in this thread several ebay representatives told me via live help, email and phone that there are very strict rules regarding feedback removal and it's not all that easy to get it removed!!!!

A work colleague did get a neg removed as buyer said they had to wait for PayPal to refund when item failed to arrive, so might be worth an appeal.

Frankly though in the 'work colleague situation' I was surprised the neg was removed on the second phone call from the seller as it was someone whose selling practices I think are poor and the neg was accurate, but hey no.

Just as a balance, I bought a computer last week on ebay, but when it arrived I found out that it was the wrong model.
I raised a "not as described" dispute and contacted the seller; they said return it and they'll refund plus postage.
I took it to the PO and posted it and it turned out the postage was £15 rather than the £9.99 the seller charged me.
I sent it and informed the seller of the tracking number.
I received a refund of the amount I paid plus the £15 postage.
The seller was "weee_reuse_it", and as far as I am concerned they made a mistake and put it right.
I've posted positive feedback "Received wrong item - seller refunded fully and put the matter right.".
