So a direct reference to a dispute. Or investigation if you phrase it another way.

It's not policy friendly. Leave it and risk removal and a black mark. Or be eloquent and truthful.

You don't have to mention a dispute. Item didn't arrive, no comms from seller.

Thanks everyone, doesn't seem fair not beening able to mention a dispute, it would show potentional buyers that the seller does not refund until forced to.

I've left feedback before saying (something like) "item not received, dispute raised".

Unfortunately if seller had appealed the feedback could be removed. Not all sellers bother though or they don't argue strongly enough that the feedback is in breach

If it's been found in practice that mentioning a dispute is grounds for removal then perhaps it's not a good idea.

However, that note should be clarified as I read 'investigations' as something stronger than 'disputes' and over ten years on the various eBay boards I've never seen it proved beyond doubt that 'investigations' does actually refer to 'disputes'. It's often been argued that way (no doubt by canny sellers trying to get a neg removed - and there are a lot of rules lawyers about that constantly try and get negs like that removed) but I don't think it's actually a solid rule.

I think it is a very sad policy if it actually means that - or was originally meant to refer to something stronger but has been interpreted by others officially to mean disputes.

Could you not just say 'Item never arrived, seller unhelpful and refused to refund.'

You don't really need to mention the dispute, the fact they refused to refund is the main problem you need to get across.

Yes you can, as it's factual. Something like "Buyer didn't send item, had to open a dispute to get refund".

    seller can get that removed

Id phase it as item not recieved, buyer unhelpful, had to dispute to get refund, that way your still being honest and not accusing them of not posting,
