Why put it on the widscreen anyway?

In Edinburgh, normally parking permits are stuck on one of the fixed rear windows where there is no risk of obstructing the driver
  • Thanks all. I know its my responsibility to display it, I just wanted a bit more clout really when I point out that it is a stupid size to the management company!!! So really helpful.

Just a thought .... could you reduce (and reduce and reduce) it on a photocopier to make it fit in a corner of the windscreen.

You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time

The clamping company on your site will see a non-standard size permit and think its a fake and clamp you anyway

Again - why put it on your windscreen? Put it on the rear window. Problem solved.

I was going to say the same thing but you did it twice already. Not sure why it has been missed.

Putting it on the rear quarter light is fine. I'd have thought as long as it is displayed somewhere in view then that's ok.

    5t.
What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?

Thanks - another great idea that I'd just not thought of!

Safer to check the Parking Stasi's small print first. A friend of mine put a disabled blue badge in his rear window because he'd parked his car nose-in to a wall, thinking he was doing them a favour. Still got booked by the Coucil Stasi because it wasn't in the windscreen.
