Is this PPI ?

Options
I had a Debnehams store card which I paid a few pence for every £100 spent on the card for payment protection.

This card was then replaced by the store with a Debnehams Credit card, on which I still pay the few pence for payment protection.

Is this PPI ?

Well PPI = Payment Protection Insurance, so it sounds like yes.

Seems slightly on the cheap side though - depending on what you mean by a 'few pence'

It's shown on the statement each month as "Account Premium Protection", and charged 10% of the outstanding balance.....

Sounds like it is, why not send a claim letter for what you paid

When you claim from them can you claim any of your costs, such as stamp costs?

There is an entire section of the forum related to PPI reclaims - you will find template letters and step by step instructions there -
    Reclaim PPI & Other Insurance

e.g PPI Reclaiming Guide: £1,000s for missold loan insurance

Just spotted this. Thanks to the poster for bringing a smile to my face - the thought of someone worrying about the cost of posting a couple of letters when they might be claiming hundreds of pounds.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

Sent a letter, and had a reply (July) stating that I did not have PPI on the account....

recently just received a PPI statement (first one in the lifetime of having the card) stating what I had paid during the past year as PPI !

Letter sent again requesting refund, etc....
