When it works it's better than a lot of other online banking systems.

Funny you should mention that. I have just opened an account with Lloyds TSB and the phone numbers at Halifax were overwritten by the one number from Lloyds
Strange you should say that as I've noticed the numbers disappeared shortly after I opened another vantage account (and my TSB account doesn't have any phone numbers). It seems that the systems are linked for sure.

I need to pay someone new by Wednesday, so it looks like I'll have to transfer to another current account and pay from there.
Or use a cheque if it's that sort of account, or go to the branch. Even if it's an online only account they should be willing to help if it's their system at fault.

    Here's a Quick update:

I received a phone call from Sarah Richardson, who is from Lloyds TSB CEO's Office this morning.

Sarah confirmed that there seems to be some sort of problem with the system and that it does indeed delete people's telephone numbers at random.

They are not sure why its doing it but Sarah assumes its something to do with the whole HBOS system being transferred to the LLoyds TSB one, causing some sort of system problem.

Sarah also confirmed that they had received quite a few complaints over the last few weeks from customers that this had happened to.

Sarah hoped that this wouldn't happen again to me, and has given me £25 compensation for the inconvenience caused.

So they are aware of the problem, my guess is that they just don't know how to fix it, as the systems are supposed to be independent from one another.
Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both.

There is currently a very large problem with Halifax's online system. It has something to do with the multiplication of phone numbers which is nackering up the system. I like many others cannot make payments out of my account online because of this.

If you're not already, get yoursef on telephone banking. They've given me no time frame in which the above issue will be fixed (I'm also assuming the issues raised are related in some way) but I suspect the more that complain the quicker it'll happen. You may even receive a few quid for the inconvenience it's causing.
