    Good Afternoon x
We have just sat down and had a nice Father's day meal and the kids were happy and chatting - no arguments:T:T:T

We made Banana Bread and gonna try a cake later.

Hope you have a lovely afternoon x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

We forgot it was Father's Day till dd who works down south phoned to wish DH Happy Father's Day.

Felt quite guilty till another of dds pointed out that they tell him they love him lots of times and it does not need a special day.

Made him favourite lunch of casseroled brisket with onion gravy, yorkies, roast potatoes and green beans, sugar snap peas and carrots with marinated turkey for those who won't eat beef. Had apple crumble and ice cream to follow.

Had been dashing round clearing up kitchen and cleaning sink, hob, tiles and work surfaces while I cooked and even used steam mop on cloakroom, utility and kitchen floors. DH then came inside to say he was going out for an hour and left a trail of muddy footprints - so followed him out of the door mopping after him.;)

Middle dd is going to pick up youngest from her part time job and will have same dinner set aside for youngest and the rest of us can have something snacky if they can decide what they want. DD has her almost last exam tomorrow and looking forward to revision stress being over.

Popped down to shop for sandwich spread, rolls and milk and treated the house to two bunches of flowers, one in hall and one in dining room. Feel as if I have not stopped today so putting feet up and having an hour on here in peace and quiet.

    Hugs to all

House sparkling, 3 loads of washing done and dried, dinner made for parents and all plates empty! :D

Now chilling on sofa with a cuppa, trying to fight off this cold.

Nice day here....all the 'children' were in touch with OH, mostly by phone but they are long journeys away. We went to school fair this morning and then to nice lunch in 'our' Italian restaurant.....love that place.

Have been knitting frantically as DD3 wants DD4 to bring her leg warmers....heard this on Friday evening and they go on Tuesday....no sign of any for sale, wrong time of year I guess....they will be thick as chunky wool my only hope of having them finished in time!

Very tired to-day so heading for bed in few minutes.

Hester....good luck with work to-morrow....you get an awful lot of carp there, would have hit somebody by now myself...stand your ground, there is no way you can be held responsible for something sent to you....stupid barstewards!

Sleep well all and stay safe
