Lady kicked my dog :(

I would def report the incident, yours may not be the 1st dog that she has attacked. Even if you don't know her name, I'm guessing your have a description of her and the time and location.
if anyone ever hurt my dog, I'dbe unbelievable.
Going back nearly 10 years ago, I was 8 1/2mths gone, and was out with the family, my dad had got our dog on the lead, and we were at a market, id stopped to look at a skirt, so dad had pulled in at the side with the dog, the dog was sat there as good as gold, i turned around to ask him about the skirt, the next minute this woman comes up with a walking stick and belts the dog across the nose, my dad was gobsmacked.
me hormones raging, ( I was also on crutches), I chucked the skirt doen caught up with her about 10 metres away, tapped her on the shoulder and firmly but quite loud so people could hear, as to why she hit the dog, she said he was in my way, so i said how he was sat down at the side of the tent, her next excuse was she had a walking stick, I piped up, congratulations love, i'm 8 1/2mths pregnant on crutches and I don't go around hitting dogs, i think my crutches trump your walking stick.
she got dome abuse from other people. I left them to it, I was so worried as how the dog would take to the baby without people attacking him, i'm pleased to say he absolutely idolised my daughter, and she was lucky enough to share 7 years of his life.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
If you see her again , have tyson behaving well ( as he did that time! )...............and you growl at her.;)
Sound like she is terrified of the breed possibly , as are a lot of folk. My mum is terrified of them , wouldnt come to my house very often when i had them ( added bonus gotta say at times
) , at a party other week and one was tied up outside (well outside of the party room) waiting for it's owner, i was about to go up and say hello and obout 4 people shouted ' dont go up to it it mite bite'........porr dog was the one looked terrified all these people shouting and being paniky......paniked the dog, so i left it and went back later.
That is sometimes how dogs can appear agressive when they are not. Being spooked by the shouting etc through lack of understanding, it's fear could have caused it to bite, because biting is a dogs only defence.“How people treat you becomes their karma; how you react becomes yours.”0 -
When a young lad kicked my dog when he sniffed at his dog, my O/H shoved him and knocked him over.
The lad was only about 21 or so and my O/H MUCH older...but the lad scrambled to his feet and legged it.
Fortunately! It takes a lot to get O/H riled but when someone kicks his dog he's not amused.0 -
Some good points there, thanks everyone.
I will report her tomorrow. Seeing my friends later who were with me so will just check with them that they saw what I did.
Tyson has his obedience test later, he should pass with flying colours after that!!0 -
Pesonally i'd be reporting her. That then covers you if she reports you (if that makes sense) Also if she's done this before there could be a pattern of behaviour.'The More I know about people the Better I like my Dog'

I'd also report her,not only for the reasons above but also if Tyson has any medical issues from the kick for insurance purposes.Besides,if anyone kicked my Daisy cat I'd punch their f:mad:g lights out!!Woman or no woman!!!0 -
Would you have let it "have a sniff" If the other dog was huge Pit bull on a bit of string ?
Or would you have pulled your dog to the side ?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
I'd report it too in case she does it to another dog who reacts badly and bites her. It would be very unfair for a dog to be put down when it was just defending itself.0

Why is that relevant?
The woman's behaviour was wrong. End of.
Don't try to introduce 'what' ifs' into the equation, it would be silly to discuss situations that haven't happened. Stick to the facts as they are.
Another vote for reporting OP.Herman - MP for all!

There's nothing for her to report you for. Having a non-agressive dog out and about who - shock horror - sniffs another dog is not an offence of any kind.
You reporting her, though...? Do it!
