I use frontline for flea treatment but what

about worming? Is there an equivalent? I used to use Bob Martin but last time at the vet he recommended something else but i can't remember what :o
Also i was looking to buy online, how will i know if it's the real thing? Any recommendations on good sites to use much appreciated as we usually pay a bit more at the pet shop so a little apprehensive.....

Thanks

Do not ever use anything by Bob Martin - for start. Do a google search for Bob Martin and you will see some horror stories. Friend's cat died from this crap.

those are the 2 that I and a lot of people here use - genuine products.

You can but Advantage (better than Frontline) for fleas and Drontal or Panacur for worms there for fraction of the vet costs

Yes, really. My Friday cat almost died from that stuff before I knew better. Followed all correct dosage instructions. She is luckier than some.

The fact that it is sold at all, whether in supermarkets or not, is a mystery to me

In answer to your question, you can buy a spot on wormer called Profender which you can buy on line, though a prescription is required.

This is OK if you only have one or two cats, but if you have 5 like me to regularly worm, I think it gets rather expensive, so I used Drontal tablets. Not as easy to give perhaps, though I manage ok with 4 of the 5 (Friday is the worst to give tablets to, even though she's a small cat: I wonder why?), but much cheaper and just as effective.
  • Thanks, i've only got 1 small dog :) Maybe i'll try profender next time. Must admit i've never heard of it :)
After reading the link though one things for sure i'm NEVER using Bob Martin carp again.....

Sorry, thought you were talking about a cat. Profender is a cat treatment which might explain why you've not heard of it.
  • OMG!!!!! I've been using Bob Martin on my cat for a while now and while there doesn't seem to be any adverse effects yet, I think I'll pay the extra and get her some frontline or something else for the flea repellant. Can't risk losing her, she's my baby!
