A few minutes on here will highlight how useless the credit number you get from the CRAS are.
Your problem seems to be either an issue with fraud or poor record keeping by a cra or bank.
Raise it as a formal complaint and escalate if you don't get a response, start with hsbc and if they refer you anywhere else do the same there.
The other thing to consider is that their rates seem to be about the best around currently, so they have far more applicants than funds, so this could be an excuse that isn't the whole issue.0 -
The fund pot point is an interesting one...
I have made a formal complaint to their central mortgages department. I'm really considering just walking away and hoping I can get another mortgage somewhere else before my vendors re-market the property, though I've already handed over £600 to HSBC for them to reject me at the 11th hour which stings a bit. I hope my complaint will lead to this being refunded.0
