My eBay listing has been removed!

My eBay listing has been removed it was for a Kooshies swim nappy, I understand what they are saying re hygiene reasons, but they are a lot of these items for sale and have been sold. So why do you think mine was the one to be removed? I have only been selling for about 3 weeks and didn’t know I was breaking the rules when I listed the Item. I even had a bid on them, most of my things only sell for 99p, but that is OK as I am just starting off and 300 Items sat in the loft could turn into £300.

Thanks for any Advice

Shelly

  • I dont think its a case of the swim nappy being reported, more like Ebay deciding that they will pull your auction and 'wont get around to anyone elses'

    They are pulling auctions randomly.

It seems Ebay are going to stick with their descion on reuseable nappies and swim nappies come under that.

ebay only pull auctions when someone reports them, so a competitor has reported yours and not others.

    Soo

Just relist it. It'll probably go unnoticed second time around.

That's very risky as depending on the age and the status of the OPs account a second warning for the same violation might mean a suspension. Also, if someone is watching for these items they may be automatically notified when someone lists...buyers can set that up easily on items they are interested it.

    Soo

Is that the case with the whole cloth nappy ban thing?

From what I know, ebay are pulling auctions randomly under the ban, started with US brands but now UK ones as well.

OP, maybe email ebay and ask why it has been pulled, you will find out that way.

I don't know why ebay would pull things randomly when they have the power to pull them all. Doesn't make any sense at all.

Strangely enough it probably comes under the following ban:

    http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/used-clothing.html

Used underclothing it specifically prohibited, and since nappies are won under clothing it could be seen to fall foul of the rule. The rule does apply to athletic supports, so why not nappies?
