Getting Money Back From Orange

Hello Help!!

On or around the 17th November 2006 i was informed that i was eligible for an upgrade as my mobile phone contract with Orange was nearing it's end date. I initially selected the Sony Ericsson W950i but was told i would need to pay approx £150-00 for that on my current usage. I was not prepared to pay for that so elected to have the W850i and agreed to pay £49-99

A short time later on the same day i looked at the website and saw that they were offering the same deal for current customers as new. The Sony W950i was shown as free on my current usage for new customers!. I therefore phoned up to complain and was told eventually that i could have this phone for free. However i was told i would need to return the W850i as it had gone through the system and could be not be stopped from being despatched. Once you received it back i would have my money returned and get the W950i for free.

I duly did this but when i phoned back to sort new deal out i was told the offer had finished and i would have to pay £49-99 now for the W950i! After much arguing about how unfair this was i decided i would have my money back and go elsewhere when my contract finished.

However i am still waiting for Orange to return my money some three and half months later. I have spent numerous phone calls with customer services to get the money to keep being told it has been processed . On 22/01/2007 i again phoned back and was told it would definitely be paid in up to 28 days. As of today it has still not been paid.

I have e mailed the executive office on 04/03/2007 and they have read the e mail and not replied. Orange customer service cannot appear to help.

What do i need to do? Go to Trading standards , small claims court or the press to get my money back???

Thanks for reading

Dave

Going through the same problem with them. My contract ends next month but orange upgrades are rubbish, they want £49.99 of me for the W850i despite my last three bills being around £130.

Write them a letter, recorded delivery, giving them 14 days to refund your money or you reserve the right to take matters further.

    Good luck
