Hi Tomb0y
it took eight weeks from start to finish for them to agree and then agree to send cheque they said 28 days but it took 7 days so all in all 9 weeks with RBS and EGG total repaid after IVA completed and claim £16500 so worth fighting for. HFC claim I have forwarded to FOS to decide on as they are refusing to pay, waiting to hear from FOS will keep you updated
regards

I got the letter from the FOS today re my complaint that they are looking into. I also got a letter from RBS with an offer. It says that I will receive a cheque or have the money paid into my account within 28 days. Is this the same letter that you got from them? That was 12 days ago? The think is I no longer have the account and wonder will they then try to offset this offer also?
Thanks again for your reply!0 -
Hi Peter and forum
Well I received interest from RBS for my PPI claim. The balance they advised has been sent to their claims/collection department. Spoke to them who have no record of me on their system ,no open accounts for me gone gave me the number of their iva settlement team who confimed my iva was settled completion certificate 3 years ago and thought money should have been sent to me. Spoke again to rbs ppi concerns who cant tell me where the money has gone and have emailed thier ppi payments team who they say will relook at it and update system if i phone back in 5/6 days will hopefully be able to advise me more. I am really concerned now i entered into my iva in 2006 finished it f & f in 2009 had no contact from payplan since and ppi was not even known then. Have tried to contact payplan 3 weeks ago to get advice could not get through to my case worker as my id no longer works. Finally spoke to iva overspill team who said all my accounts were closed would email my caseworker team to contact me noone has. I do remember in my iva payplan used RBS banking and have seen online payplan are allowing clients to keep interest payments if claim ppi in iva starting to think does this mean maybe the money has been diverted to them even though i have not even got any accounts open and payplan do not even wish to talk to me as business with me is complete ?. I am really stressed waiting to try and find out whats going on IVA was so long ago It did not even cross my mind this would now be a factor ? I cant even get access to Payplan as no longer a client ? Any advice please ???? Peter could you pm me the info dicussed on other link for FOS as I am thinking I am going to end up down that road unless anyone can advise me different , rbs ppi concerns team and iva settlement team telling me cheque should come to me my accounts are all closed but seems ppi payments team work differently and make the decisons or icould it be a mistake as other departments have implied ? Is RBS insolvency team different to IVA settlement team do they work for payplan ?someone help i think i will go insane worrying about all this for another week before I receive any info Help please ?0 -
As stated by me numerous times I have contacted my IP and informed them of the situation. One which they have informed me is of no interest to them.
Again at the time of my IVA i was unaware of PPI and was not made to claim it by my IP.
I since decided to give it a go and came here for advice and not to be bullied and accused of being a crook by you.
You have said your point which I have taken on board and now it is with the FOS.
They will ultimately decide.
As for your comments I don't welcome them nor their threatening nature.
Once again from the outset of my claim being approved I have involved my IP who made their situation clear.
What then gives you the authority to over rule that or question it via an Internet forum.
I have thanked you for you input at the start of this thread and your comments made sure I informed my IP as to everything that was happening, however now you are appearing aggressive and bullying towards people who no doubt are not from a financial background and come here for the right reasons, namely advice and guidance.
That's not what you are doing anymore!
"The Burke and Hare murders (nickname West Port murders) were serial murders perpetrated in Edinburgh, Scotland, from November 1827 to October 31, 1828. The killings were attributed to Irish immigrants William Burke and William Hare, who sold the corpses of their 17 victims to provide material for dissection. Their purchaser was Doctor Robert Knox, a private anatomy lecturer whose students were drawn from Edinburgh Medical College. Their accomplices included Burke's mistress, Helen McDougal, and Hare's wife, Margaret Laird. From their infamous method of killing their victims has come the word "burking", meaning to purposefully smother and compress the chest of a victim, and a derived meaning, to quietly suppress."
And calling people murderers on a public forum! Who are you to judge anyone.
Read through my posts and what you will see is a person confused by something alien to them. Asking for help and an explanation. What i was not asking for is how you are whiter than the driven snow. What I was not asking for was to be accused of being a thief and a murderer. Keyboard warriors appear everywhere on the internet, this is a forum for help and maybe if you can't help or don't want to you could find somewhere else to hang out.
There was so much contradicting information coming in it was only natural to ask questions. And look what happens when you ask questions!
Once again please look :
IP was contacted and informed I was told no debt existed, iva was closed and that was that. I have tried to conceal nothing, only find answers. In relation to that I would once again like to thank everyone who has genuinely tried to help me or explain anything, and to those who have not, yeah thanks for nothing.0 -
And just a quick example of some of the contradicting information :

I'm sure you can see how it is easy to be confused.
EDIT - it looks like some posts have been deleted!0 -
Hi All
Can I ask opinion on this situation please.
IVA completed Aug 2013 and during the last year IP decided to claim against any potential PPI that could have been miss sold,
Solicitor that they employed only manages to claim a small amount on all cases. Some banks claim there is no case to answer.
The IVA is completed and this is documented in the final paperwork ref ppi claims. I have since challenge via the FSO because I no I was mis sold these products. FSO has upheld my cases and banks have been instructed to pay me back money owed.
Now I'm being told this will go back into my IVA, which I disagree with for two reasons.
1. Solicitor failed to claim this back during IVA. They tried and were unsuccessful.
2. It was myself after the completion of the IVA that challenge the banks and won, so no one associated with the IVA was involved in this recovery.
The banks informed me that they would take any money still outstanding for the IVA and pay me the difference. Is this right can they do that.
Thanks in advance for any advice.0
