In the current climate you would think that I would be the perfect customer for them - no adverse credit, good income, good job, 20+ year track record with them, 60% equity etc
No wonder they are in trouble....
I can see why you think that but one thing I have learned in my dealings with Santander is that loyalty counts for absolutely nothing. A trait they share with most other financial service providers.
I can also see why you are annoyed with their decision. However, they make decisions for commercial reasons and while retaining your credit balances may be a factor in any decision I cannot see why they would want to bend over backwards to retain your debts or indeed anyone else's.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -

This was a while ago, but I've got 4 voicemails from them saying "PLEASE PLEASE ASK RUDEKID TO RECONSIDER, HE'S GOING TO BRING THE EURO CRASHING DOWN HE'S SUCH A MASSIVE PLAYER IN GLOBAL FINANCE."
Obnoxious is my middle name.
Seriously though, I laugh my absolute nuts off at people saying they've taken their banking elsewhere when talking about a global bank.
