The processor type and speed! Pretty important don't you think? So what options do the public have that would want to buy this rip off PC package - call an 0870 electrical help line.
So l did (work phone), and asked for the info, they didn't know and have to fill in a form, send it to the manufacturer and then email me when they hear back. They don't know when this will be.
So l complained about the website being useless and the cost of the phone call (5 minutes for no info). She said she "could no comment on the phone charges" and gave me an 0800 number for customer services.
I think instead of calling them, l may write, quoting my clubcard number and ask for some points as comp to cover time and phone charges.
I'm not going to buy the PC of course, way over priced and a rubbish spec, but l always like to see what offers are around to compare the market. The stupid thing is no doubt lot's of people will buy this from the site without even realising vital information is missing.
*sigh* ::)

As far as I was aware an Intel D330 is a Celeron 2.7Ghz processor....not that it matters................ ::)0

How do you know that Choster? General knowledge or is there site with it on? I've just searched the intel.com site and found nothing.
Yeah, like you say it's not the point, l'm interested nowSense is not common.0 -
Yea the Intel D330 is a 2.66Ghz Celeron processor (as far as I am aware) ... although it would have been worthwhile making that clearer. Thats not a bad price at all considering they are/were doing free P&P at the minute... pity that it only includes 256Mb RAM but, hey, you can stick another 256Mb in for a few bob and make it worthwhile.
I ordered something much less exciting last week (a vaccuum cleaner) and it arrived on Monday - mind you their online ordering system still shows it as 'Not Yet Despatched'... so don't trust it too much.

An update on this:
I did write to complain on the 21st Sept. I sent the letter to 2 different addresses listed on their site for complaints to make sure it's covered and hopefully get a quicker response.
I've received nothing. Not email from the call centre with the answer and no reply to my letters.
Not happy >:(
Just called them again and l'm told that all they can do is send the form to the supplier this afternoon again and then email me back. She also said she didn't know if they had received my letters and that without an order number she had no way of finiding any record in their database!
So complaint letters regarding an attempt to order are not recorded at tesco.com, they don't care unless they've already got your money.
I asked to speak to the supervisor this time and found that she confirmed this information to my amazement but said she could PHONE the suppliers and get an answer for me today and email me back.
Funny how all of sudden they CAN call them when l was previous told they didn't had a number for them, only a form.
I'm awaiting this email now. I'll let you know what happens.
So 2 letters and 2 phone calls to 0870 numbers and a month waiting, not very good service form TESCO.com.
FYI the site link has chanegd, now you have to select computers and click the £499 PC to find the one l am talking about.Sense is not common.0 -
Hmm... I just hate it when you speak to 'customer service' people who apparently know very little indeed and either refuse or cannot even point you in the right direction.
Was looking at their entertainment section at lunchtime yesterday and saw they had a BOGOF on Disney DVDs until 01/11/04 by entering an e-coupon code. This evening I went back to place an order and the offer had disappeared.
Phoned the customer service number and the chap I spoke to went from saying 'that offer's not on the site at the moment' (duh - I know that, is that what I've just explained to you?)... to trying to convince me I had been looking at some cached pages from the site and they had no access to info on any of the offers they run/have run - although they have just put some new offers on this afternoon (read 'c*cked it up') - and nobody else could tell me either because 'that would all just be internal' Tesco stuff.
Because he had no answers and could not even point me in the right direction, the guy got very condescending and tried to 'tech me out' with the browser angle so I had to humiliate him by teching him right back out of his jaded-sounding customer-service stupor.
Blummy heck, good job I rescued a screenshot of the offer from my browser cache to e-mail them, so we'll see what comes of that when they get around to replying...

I also have an outstanding complaint with tesco.com
4 letters to their "customer services" have been ignored.
I'd be interested to know the addresses you've used? I wrote to Sheffield as supposedly that's where they deal with electricals.0 -
