Help no fensa certificates

Hi, in the process of selling our house and recently realised that we were never sent the fensa certificates for patio doors and windows. We couldn't get hold of the builder so phoned Fensa and they said they had no records of any work being done at our address! They told us to get back to builder which we have and he's…

The chap is definitely registered with Fensa because I checked with Fensa so thats why I'm a bit confused! I still can't get hold of the builder and if he hasn't got back to me by Monday then I will go round as I know where he lives but I just feel very awkward about it:( I know the solicitor will make us pay though which I really don't want:(
