Well I've been very naughty. VERY naughty
:mad::(
Having paid no percertages for a few weeks I've used my CC a few timesFirstly I paid for our puppies first sets of injections, plus a further £99 to cover all his injections for life and yearly checkups. He has been sick so two visits to the vet put onto the cc, approx £230 in total (inc the £99 etc).
Then on Saturday I bought some jeans and some tops from Primarkiiii, £25 on the cc. Then on Sunday I bought £84 worth of clothes from Primarkiiii inc a jacket and two pairs of shoes (which I really did need as my work shoes had holes in them). Then I bought mr zeps a guitar at just over £700 :eek:
I know, I'm a total and utter idiot. I honestly have no idea what came over me. The puppy stuff yes, that was honestly needed. The jacket and shoes for me yes, that was totally needed. But everything else...... Oh man. I feel a bit sick when I woke up this morning.
Sorry, I'm hijacking this thread. I'm away to post on my dwf diary and beat myself up over there

wow that is what you call a bit of weekend spending.
what made you get the guitar? what sort of guitar is it. take it back.... its not to late...0 -
Why did I buy the guitar? Um, I really don't know. DH has been talking about it for weeks. And I decided to buy him it. By putting it on the credit card. Which is what got me into the mess in the first place, buying things I can't afford for him (not that he has ever asked me to buy anything, I always offer and tell him that we can pay it back no probs etc) which of course he believes cos I control all the money, I'm the one paying back what I owe. I'm such a foolCan't think of anything smart to put here...0

Really, thats a lot of money just for some thing that was mentioned. I mean if you got into trouble from it before then its not good.
close to £1000 in one weekend is a lot.
not sure of what guitar it is but if DH really want one if it an acoustic and cant play im about to sell one which you can have 1st dibs on0 -
Pets are expensive so thats understandable and the clothes, if they are going to be used alot then its justified. But wowzers, £700 on a guitar? Can you return it and buy a cheaper one if he really wants one? Maybe just casually say you mis calculated and you cant afford it but can afford X instead? I got my husband a nice Yamaha acoustic for £129 at argos not so long ago to replace his broken one. Maybe that would be a better option. You may find he says he doesnt need/want one (right now) and you can return it and be £700 better off and then when you are in a better position you can get him a cheaper one if its still something he wants
I splurged this month too. We bought new wardrobes for our room in the sale (needed really but felt bad), came in at £165 i think and £50 on a childs bike again in the sale for my daughter. We've been rubbish with our food and had a few takeawaysNot been very strict at all and as a result ill be looking at loosing 7-10% off my total towards my car fund :mad::(

Thanks, that would be great. I've become really discouraged with it, but look forward to reading your thoughts.0 -
Hi all,
I've been doing very well on my eBay sales, but have had problems transferring the money to my bank acct so can't add it to the % until its safely received in he right account! But it will be approx £100 after fees which is amazing! Have also put some earrings on there that I made myself and seeing if they will sell - I've fond a design that looks stylish but is simple to make! So wish me luck on that!
DH also had a tax rebate from 2010-2011 which means some extra can go onto the overdrafts! But seeing as it is up to him on what he spends it - I will prob only get £100 out of £447! But that is still 7.69% in addition. So hopefully in the next few days when money clears I will have 15% approx but will confirm this when in the account!
Am really enjoying reading everyone's ideas - and trying them out myself!
