in Mobiles
Back in December / January time Orange informed me that my bill would go up, I think this was due to a change in the TAX or VAT, my bill would go up because I took my contract out before September.
Since then my phone bill has crept up before it was £35 all in that included the VAT & TAX ect...
Now I am looking at nearer the £45 - £50 mark & I do nothing different, my partner, myself, & my partners mum are all on Orange, we all got the text & we have all noticed a difference.
Then while I was on holiday last month I read an article in a magazine called web user it said...
From May 9th T-Mobile customers will pay 3.7% more. The price rise follows a hike by Orange, T-Mobiles partner of 4.34% last November.
It then goes on to say that if you can claim price rises are of 'material detriment' to you. Even if the rise is lower than inflation, you may be able to cancel if you can show that the increase 'negatively & significantly' impacts you're life.
What are the chances of me getting my partners phone & my own cancelled and what detriment may it have say to our credit rating?
Thanks,
Cora.

Its way too late to complain about Orange now, that was months ago. It is also in the terms and conditions that they can raise the price to match inflation.0

It won them a lot of very narked users, mind. They must have needed the money desperately as opposed to waiting for contracts to expire.0

A 2.5% rise in VAT wouldn't make your bill jump from £35 to £50.
Are you, your partner and your partner's Mother incapable of checking your Orange bills?0
