Balance Transfer Question

Options
Hello,

I have an MBNA (Virgin) card with a £20k limit. I currently have a BT of £9k which is due to expire at the end of August.

I have the money to repay the balance at the end of August but want to use the remaining credit to do another balance transfer to another card.

My question is - can I do a BT for another £10k now and then pay off the £9k at the end of August or should I pay of the £9k first and get my balance to zero before I do another BT?

Thanks.

    Hi

My Virgin cc allocates payments to the balance with the highest rate of interest first. Assuming yours is the same (it will say on the back of the paper statement) you won't lose out by doing another balance transfer before you have paid off the existing amount on your Virgin cc.
