i thought something was fishy when they added a host of hotels at reasonable rates. there is still potential here for a 2 nighter break booked by 1 pax and another night or 2 by another,

seems as though the cookie is crumbling. still. i have 4 nights in barcelona booked and agreed for June.

i wonder whether they will run the whole 6 months with the refund or do it a week after like they do now?

It was foreseeable, with threads like this (the best thread without a doubt) easyjethotes have lost a lot (any estimation ?) of money, and it's unusual that they have not suppressed the promotion completely.

I've never taken advantage of this ......yet, but have loved reading this thread. EJH or more in fact Hotelopia deserve to be hit as they obviously have when they advertise as below;

Hotelopia are committed to offering you the best possible value for money. We constantly check our prices to bring you the guaranteed lowest hotel prices.

The obviously DO NOT constantly check their prices and are known to be generally overpriced. To sum up, if they offer silly guarantees (double the difference) when they are not the cheapest, then they will get hit.
If they want to "bring the guaranteed lowest hotel prices", then do it properly and not to use it to con people into thinking they are getting the best deals.
Thanks to this and other sites who show Hotelopia up for what they are.

It's been great while it lasted !

I have booked my share and am looking forward to my trips to Amsterdam, Paris and Venice, all 4 nighters, in 4* hotels, for a grand total of £88 (plus flights of course).

Still possible to get another 4 nighter with both of us booking, but my summer is now fully booked

I might just have one more go ... just can't think where to!

After Paris I had decided to stay in the UK, but might just try Barcelona (like everybody else!).

I suppose if you want to stay more nights, you could book with the company with the lower comparison rate?! x

Tis a shame cos my brother was gonna make a booking this week for barcelona and now because he shares the same address and surname....he wont be able to book for 3 months.

At least we all know how to use hotelcomparison.com to find the cheapest hotels

What about the https://www.hotwire.com "Double the Difference Guarantee"?, anybody has taken advantage of it? , it's more difficult than easyjethotels because they don't give you the name of the hotel until the reservation is made, but I think that it's possible to find out the name of the hotel before reservation thanks to some trails like the area, services, description, etc.
