Look for 4 star upwards first using comparison sites. I now automaticaly blank out (in my head) the ones that dont qualify. Often you see a deal, if the site has 2 prices - normally a cheap one and another closer to hotelopia price, I ignore these too. With these, its too easy for EJH to compare like for like on the higher price and reject on the lower.
That Venice deal also had other even lower prices, but they had too many loopholes for EJH to get out of IMO
I believe, you are better getting a not so good, but certain painfree deal than having a battle with EJH over room types,board types, sea view, street view, air con etc etc.
These certainties, of course are more difficult to find, they are not always there for all dates to all destinations.

budgetflyer, the prices for the Laguna Palace hotel in Venice are showing as Twin and Double at Hotelpronto, not Twin / Double. How likely is this to be accepted?

PLease could someone help me. I am trying to figure out how all this works and trying to get a good deal. I have read through all these pages and was wondering if someone could help me find a good deal.

We have got flights booked to go to berlin, on the 21st april for 2 nights. Would like somewhere close to the centre, (especially bars and clubs :beer: )

you may struggle with Berlin as I cant find anything for 3 nights from 19th May!

I've booked the Laguna Palace for 4nights from 12/08/07 to 16/08/07.

EJH Price: £840
Superbreaks: £330 both double rooms with B&B....

£510 difference. So getting it for nothing!

Got confirmation from EJH today! Yee Haa! Can't wait! lol

Just had my claim for price match rejected by head office due to differing breakfast types on the michaelangelo hotel in milan.

Michaelangelo hotel with reserveahotelonline.com offer an american breakfast where as easyjethotel offers a "standard" breakfast.

anyone had any luck arguing the point with EJH?

im going to cancel and rebook using dei cavalieri.

1 Qestion - Does having a refund offer rejected by EJH count as 1 claim for the month or can i make a claim against a different hotel?

Id do a bit of homework. Even telephone the hotel. I bet theres only 1 type of breakfast-its just called different names.:rolleyes:

To be honest, reservahotelonline Im sure were rejected b4 for something -was it cc fees ?Maybe worth binning as a comparison

book it in the other halfs name and pretend its her credit card. I am staying at the Dei Cavalieri this weekend (oh the jetset) so will update you on Monday with a mini review.

I have read through this forum post and Im aware of how this works but Im very scraed of booking a hotel, especially at some of the 4 star prices and being told they wont give me a refund! Im wanting to go to Barcelona or Venice on the 6th june till the 13th june, can anyone help and let me know of any deals that I will definatley get the refund on!
